A haven for well‑being through evidence‑based mindfulness techniques.
The Middle School Mindfulness Club is a middle school club led by our Middle School Counselor, Ms. Chiu. Under her expert facilitation, the club provides a structured mindfulness-based emotional distress course for students to explore the principles of mindfulness and social-emotional learning, serving as a cornerstone for student wellness on campus. Recognizing the unique pressures of early adolescence, the club exists to foster a resilient school community. Its core mission is to empower students to become Mindfulness Ambassadors and know how to deal with daily emotional challenges. Club members will acquire practical, lifelong skills for mental well-being. Beyond learning formal mindfulness practices, students will master effective emotional regulation and stress-management techniques. True to our belief in 'learning by doing,' Ms. Chiu integrates these lessons into engaging, activity-based experiences—such as guided meditations, interactive games, and creative arts—ensuring that students not only understand mindfulness conceptually but can apply it to their daily academic and personal lives.
Members learn to navigate stress, anxiety, and mood swings with breathing techniques and engaging mindfulness‑based games like “Mindful Garden Exploring” that help students become more present‑centered and aware of their surroundings.
