Students will learn basic history of traditional Chinese Ink Paint, including the different styles of traditional Chinese Ink Paint, famous painters, common elements used in art works, the materials used, and different ways of painting; and at the same time how to paint traditional Chinese Ink Paint. Students will start from painting plants and animals, to landscapes, and lastly to characters. Art works of different sizes and on different materials, such as Xuan paper and fans, will be produced both from single students and in groups at times. Experimenting with the materials and integrating elements from other cultures or styles are also encouraged from students. Essentially, this clubs aims to spread traditional Chinese painting and culture within it to students interested (regardless of if you are beginners or experienced artists) to this international campus!
Members progress from painting plants and animals to landscapes and characters, creating artworks of various sizes on materials like Xuan paper and fans. The club encourages experimentation and cultural integration while spreading traditional Chinese painting to interested students of all skill levels.
